In a surprising collaboration that challenges traditional predictions, Ubisoft has announced an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Revealed

According to the formal statement, "A strange confrontation leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where hints of banned practices and terrifying changes echo through the darkness." The plot introduces a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a clandestine sect.

The mission centers on "peculiar experiments and a monstrous enemy" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Metamorphoses

The teaser highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview finishes with a dramatic scene showing a character, presumably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Additional Material

Players who accomplish the quest will obtain an unique katana together with numerous items concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:

• Titan-themed costume for Yasuke
• Mikasa costume for Naoe
• Unique weapons
• Survey Corps mount

This release also brings the game's latest complimentary story addition, titled "The Enigma."
